This year, OC Development GmbH has joined the ranks of innovation leaders of Germany’s small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The Prien/Chiemsee based company was awarded the TOP 100 Seal of Approval by physicist and tv presenter Ranga Yogeshwar, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia. The event, which took place for the 24th time, is the only competition for innovation management. In an independent selection process, OC Development stood out, in particular with regards to its innovation success.
Founded in 2014, OC Development GmbH was recognised with the TOP 100 Seal of Approval for its innovation success of the “oneclick“ service platform, which was launched in 2016. Following the theme “Log-in and get started“, the cloud solution “oneclick“ makes digital workspaces within seconds available to users. This is done via a browser-based user interface, whereby no software components have to be installed on the customer’s servers or devices. “Thanks to a high automation level and the help of set-up assistants, you do not need to be an experienced administrator to provide digital workspaces quickly and securely“, explains managing director Dominik Birgelen. This is of particular advantage to smaller firms, which do not have in-house IT experts with an IT degree.
In their previous employment, Dominik Birgelen, Florian Bodner and Mathias Meinke were not satisfied with the time intensive access to software, which was made centrally available. This resulted in them becoming self-employed and the development of “oneclick“. It is thanks to the close cooperation between the TOP innovators and test and beta customers, that the product is ready for market after only two years‘ time. “We have even received feedback from big corporates, that we have achieved a lot in a short time“, reports Dominik Birgelen. He is convinced that ‘with this product, they can play worldwide in the top league of software vendors‘. With 20 staff in Germany and the formation of a subsidiary in the UK, the start-up entrepreneurs are currently planning another location in the USA.
