Challenges and Potentials of Digitisation

[oc_spacer height=”15″]oneclick was one of three selected manufacturers at the “ALSO MSP & VAR Partner Programme – Automotive” event on 10th April 2018 in Soest. Digitisation has a significant impact on businesses across various sectors. The workshop organised by ALSO Germany was conceptualised specifically for system integrators which specialise on customers in the production and automotive industry. Special attention was paid to this target group’s fields of action, challenges and potentials of digitisation relevant for IT.

The field of participants was made up exclusively of large and very competent system integrators which have taken up the task of developing strategies and solutions for their customers in the area of Managed Services.

The organisers structured the event into the categories flexibility, security and efficiency; each manufacturer was assigned a specific area. On the subject of flexibility, Marcel Sternkopf, oneclick’s partner manager, introduced the Workspace Provisioning and Streaming Platform, as well as the newly organised partner model in a 30-minute presentation. Managed Services, Managed Desktops and Managed Applications were dealt with as intensively as new business models, performance components, as well as succesful marketing. Fujitsu and Kaspersky were invited for the areas efficiency and security and demonstrated the added values of their respective solution.

“Many system integrators have been dealing with Managed Services for years, but mostly with traditional IT infrastructures or private clouds from their own data centre.’’ Marcel Sternkopf summarises. “There is a lot of potential in the automotive industry, especially in the streaming of CAD applications. Additionally, first and foremost automotive groups are looking for solutions which meet their compliance and data security requirements. This is where the oneclick™ platform comes into play, as it covers these aspects in addition to simplifying the provision of client workspaces, increasing flexibility and unleashing potentials of digitisation.”
